Day 58 - Tiny Tuesday

There are so many huge things in my life that I am so thankful for, but I don't want to forget the littlest things that God has blessed me with.

I am thankful for a perfectly timed text of encouragement from a friend.

I am thankful for cleansing tears on a rough day.

I am thankful for the bible verse that pops into my mind as if God Himself is speaking words of inspiration directly into my heart.

What are you tiny thanks for today?

Day 57 - Manic Monday

Whew! What a day!

So many things going on and emotions swirling. Five different people that I needed to help, hours of work at my school, and so much to do.

Two classrooms shampooed, one classroom reorganized, and one broken cabinet later, I am finally home.

I am thankful for my brother who came up on a moments notice to clean the carpets in my room so that I could get to work.

I am thankful that my dad came up to look at the broken cabinet (and said he could fix it!).

I am thankful for my husband who had dinner ready when I came up. What a blessing he is to me. Thank you God for my wonderful marriage!

Day 55/56 - Super Short Sunday

My computer fritzed yesterday and wouldn't let me post! Grrr...

Yesterday I got to celebrate the birthday of one of my best friends. Even though it was only for an hour, I am so thankful for our time together.

Today I got to see more friends; some of whom I haven't seen in 15+ years! Though it was for a sad occasion, I am glad for the time today too!

I am so thankful for the fellowship of believers that I have all around me.

I am thankful for the excitement of ideas shared between friends.

I am thankful for snippets of time together!

Day 54 - Story {Five Minute Friday}

Story.

What imagery that word brings to mind.

I think of all the books my husband has read to me; The Count of Monte Cristo, A Christmas Carol, The Narnia series, The Wheel of Time series, and so many more. I think of his voice, strong and confident as he reads across the page, never stumbling, never missing any emotions in the words.

I think of the books I've read through the years; everything from the current "it" book to the local author from my hometown. I've cried so many tears for those fictional characters. I laugh with them, hope with them, cheer for them.

That's what a great story can do. It becomes so real that you forget it's not.

I think of all the stories I have half finished and just waiting in notebooks all over my house. There are characters in mid sentance that I have left alone for years. Their stories are not yet completed. I think about them often, and yet there they sit. Neglected. Alone.

I am so glad that the Author of my story takes more care with my life. I can't wait to see how it ends, but more than that, I'm so glad He's not done writing.

Linking up with Lisa-Jo Baker for Five Minute Friday.

Day 53 - Inspiration

Inspiration is something that tends to be overwhelming or completely lacking from my life. I'm either unable to write down ideas fast enough, or I feel like my mind is a deep dark cave where nothing can survive. Do you ever feel like that?

After several weeks, maybe even months, of cave life, my mind is working over time!

Writing, drawing, cooking, sewing, crafting, singing... it's all going into overdrive and I am so happy! The school year is starting in just a few weeks and I  was a little worried I would greet my class with blank walls and empty shelves.

But, that too has gone into overdrive. The lesson planning and activity creation mega mind is back in action.

Do you have something that helps snap you out of periods of inspiration-less-ness? If so, I'd love to hear about it!

I am thankful that cave-life is at an end for the time being.

I am thankful that Pinterest exists to help me through times of cave living.

I am thankful that God always seems to inspire me at exactly the right moment.
